Sandra Bérubé

Nelson, BC

After a decade of working internationally in the circus and fashion industry, including the renowned Cirque du Soleil, Nelson-based artist Sandra Bérubé (originally from Montreal) has transitioned into the art installation world, taking it by storm. Long-inspired by kinetic art, Mad Max aesthetics and the Tank Girl comics, storytelling and interactivity are what fuel her impressive creativity.
Rendered beautifully in brilliant bronze, Up the Rabbit Hole is Sandra’s playful take on the jackalope, a mythical (or is it?) animal of North American folklore described as a jackrabbit with antelope horns. A playful take on finally emerging from the pandemic, this cheeky jackalope delights us all.
