Mothers Create. Mothers Protect. Mothers Cherish. Mothers Let go.
Bonnington-based sculptor Zen Wang comes from a long line of Chinese artists: his grandmother was a renowned embroiderer; his sculptor grandfather passed away when Zen was an infant though left him many art books and sculpting tools; while his father resorted to painting murals of Chairman Mao to make a living. Zen, who has two degrees and a film diploma, is now reclaiming his role as a storyteller with his craft.
Song to Mothers is a tribute to the nurturing side of the human spirit. Mothers are full of hope, love and courage while facing down uncertainty and fear.
